Precision tubing
You Can Trust

At Confluent Maine, our expertise in gun drilling goes back to 1947. Everything we do has grown out of our ability to drill precision holes with uniform wall thickness in a range of specialty metals and alloys. Today, our climate-controlled plant houses state-of-the-art equipment to meet our customers’ precision tube requirements.

We specialize in unique, engineered solutions to challenging design problems. Our ability to provide uniform-wall, seamless precision tubing at extreme depth-to-ID ratios, with industry-leading concentricity specs, has made us the world leader in custom heavy-wall tubing, hollow bars, precision cannulae and tubular components. We supply precision-drilled custom tubing and tubular components for use in medical devices, aerospace applications, nuclear power plants, industrial manufacturing plants, high temperature furnaces and many other designs. Our gun drilling experience with special alloys extends from standard 300 and 400 series stainless steels to titanium, molybdenum, Hastelloy™, 17-4 PH stainless steel and other nickel-based alloys.

We at Confluent Maine take pride in tackling jobs that others decline. Whether it’s producing a 9 foot bar with a .200″ hole down the center (a 540:1 depth to ID ratio) or drilling refractory bars made of molybdenum and tungsten or machining aerospace shafts with complex external features, we combine Yankee ingenuity and work ethic to get the job done right.
